Congratulations Class V A. Class V A got 2nd prize in Class Decoration on Diwali.

 

On the occasion of Diwali 2013, students of Class V A decorated the class, made Rangoli and wish each other a Happy Diwali.

PEC Activity: To learn that decimal point does not move but only appears to have moved using chairs.

Four students were called up and allowed to sit as shown in picture 1 where first student represents Tens place, second student represents Ones place, third student represents tenth place and fourth student represents hundredth place. The big chair represents the decimal point. Now they were told to shift one place to their right. Now place of each student ( representing different digits changed but the position of chair ( representing decimal point) does not change. So it is concluded that decimal point does not move but only appears to have moved.

Students of Class V A bring laurels to the school in Delhi State Yoga Championship held on 23rd October, 2013.

 

Bhavya got 1st prize and Sakshi got 3rd prize in all over Delhi State. Congratulations to both of them.

 

Riya participated in a small play on the topic Save wildlife in the house assembly of Chenab House on 25 th October.

PEC Activity: Learning equivalent fractions using balls

Some baskets were placed on which fractions like 18 by 36, 15 by 60, 16 by 48 and 24 by 36 were placed. Some balls were taken on which some fractions equivalent to the fractions  given above were written. Students come one by one and put the corresponding ball into the right basket.
